How to Celebrate, Disney Style

Disney is no stranger to celebrations... whether it’s a family vacation, birthday, anniversary, graduation or reunion, there’s no shortage of ways to make the special moments in life even more special with a little Disney magic! Below, I’ve listed some of my favorite ways to celebrate any occasion at Disney!

1. Celebration Buttons

Celebration buttons are a pretty well-known way to make your celebration extra special. Every park, resort and even Disney Springs has a variety of buttons to choose from. They offer birthday, anniversary, just married, first visit and family reunion buttons that you can personalize with your name or anniversary date. Hearing Cast Members and other guests wishing you a happy birthday as you walk by is sure to bring a smile to your face! Celebrating a graduation, girls’ trip or another special moment? Grab a “I’m Celebrating” button and add your own magical moment to it. Looking for something extra special and personalized to your trip? There are several small shops that offer completely custom buttons that are sure to turn some heads! Oh, and did I mention that Celebration buttons are completely free? You can’t beat free Disney magic!

2. Matching Shirts

For me, this is a given. One of my favorite parts of planning for a Disney trip is picking out outfits and coordinating them to the theme of my trips. Whether you simply want matching Disney shirts or completely customized to your occasion shirts, you’re sure to find exactly what you’re dreaming of with Celebration Shirts. Disney offers ten different celebration themes that bring extra magic to your room with decorations, cakes, accessories, treats and more! This is a great way to surprise someone special on your trip... a birthday princess or pirate would love the tiara or treasure chest left especially for them. Celebrating an anniversary? Surprise your true love w­ith the Romantic Experience and toast with the Wishes sparkling cider while enjoy Cinderella castle chocolates.

4. Birthday Treats

Dessert at Disney is pretty much mandatory... who can pass up cake or ice cream at the end of every meal?! If you’re celebrating something, make sure you let Disney know and they’ll magically add a little celebration to every meal. A variety of desserts (usually cupcakes) and even cards signed by characters or cast members will be brought to your table toward the end of your meal. The desserts are always delicious and the cards make great souvenirs or impromptu autograph cards for character meetings!
